fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars [OPEN]

Tycho was glad the squadron had so many new recruits, and he certainly didn't mind the sizable increase in his work-load that went along with it. After all, that's what his job as squadron XO was; making sure everything was organized. Still though, when it came down to it, Tycho was a pilot. He felt far more comfortable in the cockpit of a fighter ( Read more... )

Tsukasa wandered in, coming into a hanger bay. I'm not going to run into a certain red-haired girl again, am I? He thought as he looked around.

"Huh, no one...oh, there is someone here." He said, when he looked outside and saw an A-Wing dueling some TIEs. He chuckled to himself as he pulled out his buckle. This could be interesting. He thought, placing it upon his waist, belt extending and RideBooker appearing.

"Henshin." He said, after pulling out and inserting his Decade card; a second later, Kamen Rider Decade stood where Tsukasa Kadoya had before. Summoning up a mental image, the Sensorium responded with a very good copy of Kamen Rider Agito. In addition, there a a revving noise as two golden cards appeared in his hands.

"This might tickle a little." He said, slotting one of the cards into his Buckle. *FINAL FORM RIDE! A-A-AGITO!* Rang out, and the holographic Agito changed into the Agito Tornader.

Decade jumped on it, and surfed out into space, pulling up beside Tycho's A-Wing. He tossed a little two-fingered salute as way of

Well. That certainly hadn't been a part of the Battle of Endor. Tycho raised an eyebrow as a man on an odd ... contraption thing went by him. He had no idea what it was; it certainly didn't look like any fighter craft he was familiar with.

Tycho rolled his A-Wing to avoid the lasers of a passing TIE, firing off a couple quick volleys of his own in return. He couldn't exactly stop to chat, as they were in the middle of a battle, but he probably shouldn't ignore what was clearly one of his shipmates either.

Tycho flipped over to an open com channel. "Greetings, unidentified craft, this is Green Three."

Normally, Decade doesn't have a radio receiver in his helmet. The Sensoriums, though, apparently provide one when necessary. So, hearing Tycho's voice inside it was...disconcerting, for all of a second.

"'Unidentified?' I'm Decade. Kamen Rider Decade. Remember that." And for sheer emphasis, Decade pulled out his RideBooker and switched it into a gun. One *ATTACK RIDE! BLAST!* later, a TIE fighter blew up from a hail of laser fire.

".... I see."

Yeah, Tycho was pretty much going to ignore this guy. There were plenty enough TIEs to go around, so if this 'Decade' character wanted to vape some, that was fine with Tycho.

"Well good flying then, Decade. Green Three out." With that, Tycho's A-wing pulled away, in pursuit of another TIE.

Following the holier-than-thou XO led Shinn to the Sensoriums once again. This time, though, the room was already in use as an unfamiliar hangar, reeking of lubricants and some sort of fuel, and ringing with alarm klaxons and barked orders. Outside - there wasn’t even an air-lock, just a faintly shimmering window to the stars - he could see strangely shaped ships swarming around a nearby moon, exchanging a colorful web of plasma fire ( ... )

There's a sudden flash of bright red laser fire past Shinn's fighter and an X-wing in Rogue Squadron markings came blazing down from overhead to incinerate the enemy fighter in a sudden attack. The fighter rolled over to one side and then popped up onto the A-wing's wing with a waggle of its wings. Wedge's voice crackled over the comms, a bit distorted by battlefield interference.

"Doing alright, Green Nine?" Wedge turned his head and waved at Shinn from the cockpit, smiling.

"How do you like the A-wing?"

"I was doing fine!" he snapped. "I had it under control!" He punched a few angry shots off at one of the enemy ships.

"Of course. It's just handy to have some help on hand." Wedge rolled over to sit comfortably on Asuka's wing, managing to keep up with him for now.

"A-wings are fast little ships, but too finicky for me."

Stars surrounded him, and so much more. It was clearly a battle simulation, though it wasn't any battle that Kira was familiar with - and the ships certainly weren't anything he'd ever seen before. But the scene before him, filled with flashes of light and bursts of oddly serene fire, was something he knew entirely too well.

No, wait. He knew some of those fighters flying past him where he was suspended in midair, viewing the scene as from the perspective of a god. They were the X-Wings, weren't they? Was this one of the Rogues in a training session?

...it might be a good idea to fly with other members of the squadron. With a thought, Kira found himself in his flight suit, and the Strike Freedom materialized around him, system booting up far quicker than it would have in reality.

He keyed the communications unit, hesitating for a moment before speaking - who was in here, anyway? "This is Kira Yamato," he said. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything for whoever is flying in here right now."

"You interrupt everything!" Shinn snapped into the comm system.

Well, that answered part of that question. Somehow, he didn't think this was Shinn's simulation, though. "You're exaggerating. Why do you think I was asking?"

A pause. "Is this one of General Antilles' scenarios?" The mystery fighters still flew past him - or through him, even - as if he didn't exist where he hovered in space.

They were talking on an open com channel, so Tycho could hear them. He hailed Kira on a private channel- and bless the sensoriums, the hail went through. "Green three here, and no, Mister Yamato, it's mine."

Tracking the source of the signal, Tycho spotted what looked like one of the mobile suits, hanging, ghostly, in space. "Care to join in?" he questioned, curious.

Wedge ducked through the sensorium doorway and found himself in the familiar hangar bay of Home One. He glanced around, looking out the mag-con field to the flashing lights of the ongoing battle and the moon below. Endor. Someone was running the Endor sim. Hm. He quickly brought his ship into being and scrambled aboard after a quick pre-flight check. In a minute he was out into space, sending his x-wing into a quick roll as he found himself rapidly engaged by enemy fighters. He keyed his comm.

"Red Leader to Green Three, what's the situation?" Of course, he already knew. He had been here, had fought the battle again in sims and his own mind over and over.

"Green Three, Red Leader. Point your nose forward and shoot," Tycho's amused voice came over the coms as his A-Wing zipped through the furball.

"Try to hit those things that look like flying boxes, and not, say, handsome pilots in elegant little speedsters."

Okay, so, he sounds more like Wes than usual. Give him a break, Wedge, he's trying to blow off some steam.
