Not Cosplay I Swear

The music attached to a MP3 player scavanged from W&P was blasting in Rein's house, some kind of silly J-Pop that she had immediately liked. Having hooked it up to her stereo she had also discovered in said location, she was zipping around the store, looking for her tape measure ( Read more... )

Tsukasa actually found the store, as shocking as it might be. Throwing his leg over the front of the bike, he dismounted his Machine Decader and entered.

"Hello? Anyone home?"

"Come in!" exclaimed Rein, waving at Tsukasa as she bowed politely. "I'm Rein, we spoke over the comms. Please, make yourself at home while I get things ready!"

It was a formality, but one that she wanted to at least perform as she turned the music down a little and picked up a tape measure. "I would offer cookies and tea, but sadly the bus ran out of that a while ago."

Tiny little thing, isn't she? Tsukasa thought, as he moved over to a chair.

"So...how much will this set me back, exactly?" You can admire him for getting straight to the point, but...tact and Tsukasa do not equal out.

"Oh there's no charge," replied Rein. "We don't have an actual currency on board, so I trade favors or at the very least I work for free because I love to sew."

And get people into cosplay, but there was little she could do about that with such limited resources.

"If you want, you could do me a favor and spread the word a little more when you meet new people. I'm always open after my shift on the bridge and I love to make stuff."

Char enters the store and, not being the politest person in the world, immediately does a double-take.

Is...is she a fairy? he wonders.

He composes himself and decides not to ask about a person with slightly strange appearance in this interdimensional space whale repurposed prison ship full of possibly-dead people, though. Instead, he states what he came here for.

"Excuse me, miss, but is this where we get clothes? This outfit is a thoughtful gift from our host, but it's not exactly my style," he explains.

"Ah yes it is!" exclaimed Rein, floating around as she bowed. "I'm Rein, the seamstress and owner of this place. Well, owner is a little bit of a loose term since I don't own this place per say, just using it."

She giggled. "I know, the plantsuits are jarring. Please, come in. Do you have something in mind?"

Char nods. "I understand. Sort of a scavenger scenario here, with all the abandoned buildings."

He walks into the store, looking around at what's there. "Well, my favorite suit was a gold business suit...something red I can just wear around would be fine for a start, though."

"Something red..."

Floating over to the nearby rolls, she selected a roll and floated it into her arms. "How's this? It's a nice cloth, not too sure what but it breathes. And it's not a jarring red either, a nice soft dark one."

Nananshi entered the store with purpose, as she did with everything. "Hello?" The relative darkness of the store was nice compared to the sun outside. She was still amazed that the sun was so bright, and even more amazed that she could walk in it, even though she had been informed that it was fake.

She pulled down the hood of her black cape with her family crest embroidered onto the back, but she kept on her new-found sunglasses. Even though it was darker, it was still bright.

"Coming~!" singsonged Rein as she trundled out, a armful of black cloth in her arms. "Hello there! Welcome to Stormwind Clothiers. I'm Rein Zwei, nice to meet you!"

Nanashi nodded, "Pleased to meet you as well, I am Queen Nanashi, of Kuninoryu."

Well, she is just a little ball of cheer and happy! Nanashi thought with a little smile. "I was hoping you could help me. As a vampire, my body is already rather resistant to dirt and grime, making this," she motioned to the suit underneath her cloak, "unnecessary. I was hoping that you might be able to make me a... well, I suppose you might call it a dress, but with leggings and a slit in the skirt up to the waist. You see, I am a military ruler, and I have always needed to be able to move easily on short notice, while still being acceptable for court appearances."

"Oh of course, I can create a combat-worthy outfit in no time!" said Rein with a grin. A vampire huh? That was new. But Rein had no guile for creatures of the night and she flitted to the rolls before setting down her cloth.

"You'll want something breathable, but strong. I'm thinking this." And she pulled out a stretch of pink cloth that seemed to shimmer with some energy. "The cloth is easily dyed with what I have on stock. Will it suit your needs?"

Finally free from the brig John decided to try to get some things he needed. Like that little stay was going to stop him from his mission. So he had decided to poke his head into the shop after hearing about it on the omnicomm. He would have put in his order over the network, but we was trying to avoid using it again until he could get his security back up on it. Being traced once was one time too many for him. Approaching the counter he put both of his hands on it, and leaned forward. "Is this the tailor's? I need some clothes made."

"Yes it is! Welcome to Stormwind Clothiers," chirped Rein as she meandered over to John and bowed politely. "I'm the seamstress and owner of this place, Reinforce Zwei. Pleased to meet you!"

She had seen his profile when working the Comms, who hadn't? But unlike everyone who jumped to conclusions about people, Rein's smile was neither forced nor strained.

"Please have a seat and we'll discuss what you want made!"

It was a far nicer of a greeting than he'd received in a long time. Enough to cause him to raise an eyebrow. At least she seemed willing to do business with him so he politely took the offered seat. "Do you know what BDUs are? I'd like a couple of sets made preferably in olive drab, or a flat brown with some modifications to the standard design. Can you do that?"

"Yes I do, they're fairly standard issue back on Earth. I can make those up for you. I'd probably have to search a little in my supply for something sturdy enough, or are you alright with a canvas-type of cloth?" said Rein, tapping her lip in thought.
