"It's not in his interest to betray us. It's that simple. We don't have to get him on our side for this because he already is. Vader is another matter. He is vindictive enough and dangerous enough that we may need to do something about him. Get security to lock him up, maybe. There are other options, of course." Murder, for one. Not that he looked on killing Vader as murder. More like justice long overdue.

For now, she had something else to address. "I have a concern involving Grand Admiral Thrawn. Those who were - around for the Bastion Accords, signed ten years after his reported death at Bilbringi, should also remember the Caamaasi Document Crisis."
Winter paused for a moment. She'd spent some time paring down her initial thought, shortening it to what she hoped was the essentials. "The only relevant part of this is that, after the leader of the Imperial Remnant started moving for peace, dissidents crafted a ploy to make it appear as if Thrawn had returned from the dead. A con man, working with an experimental clone, was able to impersonate him very successfully."
