Surprised, but she felt a sudden determination. She'd been on her way someplace else, but as soon as she heard Stacy's words, she changed course to head to the Sensoriums.
When she entered the room, she didn't sit down right away, at first. Karen had always been afraid of doctor's offices, and right now, she didn't know how much Stacy knew about her. "You said... we can get our memories back?"

She stepped through the door and found the white room with the dental chair. She swallowed, then walked toward the chair, mentally preparing herself.
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
Wherever you are teacher, be with me.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

A needle-tipped tendril pricks Katara's arm, and any emotions still in her mind would begin to fuzz-out slightly.
After a few silent moments, the memories begin to creep back into her mind.
Ba Sing Ce. It was a crisp, clear night outside of Iroh's shop.
Everyone else was inside, celebrating their victory over the Fire Nation, but Katara and Aang were outside, sharing a moment alone together.
A moment which was interrupted when thousands of strange, shimmering lights filled the streets of the city, and out of each one, swarms of large, strange creatures started pouring out, spreading out across the city. A needle-tipped tendril--laced with just enough kryptonite to pierce his skin unhindered--pricks Clark's arm, and any emotions still in his mind would begin to fuzz-out slightly.
After a few silent moments, the memories begin to creep back into his mind.
Metropolis. It felt good for Clark, finally being able to patrol the city he called home after being powerless for nearly a year.
Yet even as he flew over the city, keeping a watchful eye over it, the calm that pervaded the day was instantly torn asunder as thousands upon thousands of shimmering lights filled the streets of the city, and literally millions of strange creatures begin to pour out of them, swarming over buildings and slaughtering anything in their path ( ... )

"I guess when all is on the line, old grudges mean nothing..." he said.
Struggling to his feet, he began to make his way out. He needed to sleep this off.
"Never again. What I saw here never happens again."

Heading into the room, he flipped himself over to the chair and sat down, arms crossed.
"Let's get this over with." Shadow growled.

A needle-tipped tendril pricks Shadow's arm, and any emotions still in his mind would begin to fuzz-out slightly.
After a few silent moments, the memories begin to creep back into his mind.
Having just returned to Earth from defeating the Black Arms race, Shadow, Sonic and the others were ready to head home and celebrate their victory.
But it was not to be.
As soon as they arrived, they saw that the city they were in was being consumed by flames, and millions of large, strange creatures were swarming over the buildings, slaughtering everything in their path ( ... )
