Another training sim, but this time, Zuko's only meditating. He could do this anywhere else, like the Observatory, but no one could ever accuse him of not clinging to home

Sokka is, as always, a little heedless of things like not disturbing meditating people. So he just strides across the garden to look at the view, feeling a little pang of regret and sadness. Even if he was never really here, it was still a little piece of home that he might never see except in Zuko's memories. He turns, watching Zuko for a moment before he speaks.
He pauses before adding, "Me neither. But if I had to say . . . I suppose 'restore the Fire Nation' is the most worthwhile choice. And your home, too," he adds, not wanting to seem more ethnocentric than he usually does.
Ava's never been much for the outdoors; Central Park is about as much "wilderness" as she can handle, and even then it's not her favorite place in the city. This garden is nice, however, and she's content to just stand quietly and let the winds gently swirl around her for now. (Intruding? Well... she's never had much use for privacy.)
"I'm not an airbender-- and did you just call me fat?" Ava asks, a little too defensively. She's not fat, just tall and curvy, but being a former competitive gymnast hasn't exactly made her less sensitive about her weight.
"I called you loud." Which is a lot more important than weight in Zuko's world o' ninjas. "My uncle probably weighs twice as much as you, and he's as quiet as a mouse-leopard when he needs to be."
He snuffs the candles out with a wave of his hand. "Did you want something?"
He's trying to be more social, really, but he's making slow progress.
There were some major differences, yes. But the buildings, the aura... it was the closest thing to anything from her country that Ran Fan had seen since arriving on this strange ship.
So, for now, she's just lurking near the edges of the garden, trying to take it all in.
He senses another presence more than hears one, but is unsure of it enough to look subtly over his shoulder, casting his eyes around for intruders who would be trying to be quiet.
Ran Fan didn't immediately notice when his gaze turned on her, since she had fixed her own on the flames in front of Zuko. As someone who could sense the flow of energy, it was... interesting, to see a person use their ki to manipulate the elements. It was almost like alchemy and alkestry but without the use of transmutation circles or purification circles.
Of course, it didn't take too long for her to realize he knew she was there, and quickly inclined her head, bowing a little. "I... apologize. I did not mean to interrupt you."
Katara had felt guilty in all of her training that she hadn't seen Zuko for awhile: it felt like something was missing, and she wondered what his feelings were these days. She would never admit how bothered she was that he was pulled from a different time: all they had gone through, even when she was being hostile to him, he had no idea about. Looking back, it made her feel regret: she had wasted all that time with those feelings that she hadn't gotten to know the Zuko underneath, and now she had to make new memories wall over again.
Walking into the Sensorium, she knew immediately that she was somewhere in her world: there was no mistaking the beauty of this place, the tranquility that could only be where she once lived after having the chance of seeing so much with Aang and the others. She located Zuko, but saw that he was meditating, so she hung back just a little, enjoying the scenery.
"It's beautiful," she said, her voice fairly quiet. "I was hoping I'd get to see you, Zuko. We haven't talked in awhile."
"I know." He rises out of his meditation calmly, gathering his scattered thoughts. "I get the feeling we have talked - I just don't remember what about."
Maybe he's short on memories out of relief that she and her brother haven't tried to kill him yet.
"A lot of things," Katara replied, smiling. "I'm just glad to see you in this kind of environment. A lot of the time, you used to be really angry, especially when you went after Aang. This is more how you were when you joined us, and you wanted to redirect the way you thought of firebending., I never said it at the time, but I really admired you for that."
Scattered months. He has no idea what he's been doing for such a long time -
Speaking of the Avatar - "I have no idea how I was then. I barely have any idea how I am now." He sighs. "I guess I'm here, trying to figure that out."
With the Force or without, Luke could sense a calm, meditating mind. His curiosity to find whoever was meditating led him in to a place unlike any he'd seen before; while some planets had more agrarian societies, with less urban areas, most of the planets in the galaxy nowadays had huge cities with skyscrapers that reached up into the atmosphere, and dark undercities down to the very bedrock. To be in a place this calm reminded him of Yavin IV, or Ossus, and the tranquility at the Jedi academies.
It was a bit warmer in the room where Luke found the young man meditating despite the open air. Not wishing to disturb him in his contemplation, but hoping to find a little bit of mental peace himself, Luke took a seat off to one side, spending a moment just looking at the impressive view.
Zuko, rising out of his meditation, turns to look at Luke.
"Hi."
He's seen this guy around, before. One of the ones who fights with the swords made of light. He's curious about those, and this might be his chance to ask.
"Welcome to the Fire Nation." He exhales, and the flames on the candles leap upwards abruptly, and burn themselves out. "Well, the memory of it, anyway."
Like it had been at first with Arha and--some others who must have been like her, Luke felt that small shift, an echo of some power used. It wasn't the Force, but it was something that could, like the Force, be used to change a person's environment and affect others. But he let that go for now.
"Fire Country," he repeated thoughtfully, seating himself next to Zuko and a short distance away. Odd name for a country, but then again, places like 'Tatooine' and 'Coruscant' would probably sound strange to him. "This is where you're from?"

She's polite, and that's a good mark for her in Zuko's book.
"I'm Zuko." He gestures at the view. "This is the Fire Nation. My home. You're welcome to explore it."
It's only a simulation, but the city and people are eerily accurate.
