[OPENING EDEN. CLOSED TO ASSIGNED SECURITY/COMMAND/SCIENCE PERSONNEL]

Indigo stands in the hallways, hands clasped behind her back. She doesn't pace, she doesn't weave or bob around. It's like she's a statue, waiting for someone to pass before her disdainful look. She's outside the Spacewalk's doors ( Read more... )

Grace managed to dig an EVA suit up from weapons and possessions - she knows how to use one. You don't go into space without knowing that much. Even if you are in cyrogenic sleep. She double-checks her seals again. If something goes horribly wrong, she doesn't want to be the one who ends up dead. Surviving Pandora just to die here 9after she already died) would be ridiculous.

Indigo makes a slightly amused sound at her caution. "Better safe than sorry?" Indigo can't blame her, it's only a human response, but... Well, she fixed it. She doesn't see her repairs going wrong. After all, she ran the numbers herself. And who better to check that kind of thing?

"Pretty much. Living on a planet that will kill you if you breathe in too much of the local atmosphere tends to reinforce the idea of being careful," Grace replies. She triple-checks her suit. This thing is not failing on her.

"I see." She stands there, maybe a little uncomfortably, then shakes her head and walks off. Now is not the time for people's personal histories. They can get to that after their jobs are done.

Wyn hums quietly to herself as she double-checks all the connections on her vacuum suit. It's one of the same paper-thin and translucent suits used by Team GTFO on their mission to retake the bridge, and Wyn had been lucky enough to find one of the few short enough to actually fit her. She's almost entirely sure that the spacewalk is safe-- but the tiny chance that it isn't is more than enough to get her to put on a suit.

Samus is heading out as a member of Security. She doesn't pick up one of the vacuum suits, mostly because she's already got her own. She trusts the tech of it more than she could anything else (part of that comes from being biologically bonded to it).

She spots the other woman. This is the first time they'd met after the whole nightmare ordeal. She hesitates for a moment, not really sure what to do or say, before giving a curt nod in greeting.

"Hi, Samus." Wyn says, glancing up and giving the woman in the suit of space armor a slightly awkward smile. She's... still not the evil one, in case you were wondering.

"Wyn," the greeting was short and polite without being overly friendly. Professional.

Now this he had to see!

The Omnicom system was like a plaything to the scraggly genius-designed by human hands no less complex than the ones that put together basic relay boards and microprocessors, they were far easier for him to understand than Stacy’s complex mass of biological datapads and constantly shifting codes. He’d had some fun sneaking his way around various locked entries when he found the time, but it quickly became boring, and thus, no longer his primary interest.

That is, until he found a firewall that gave him some trouble.

He’d never met Indigo before, at least not that he remembered-something told him that a genius of such caliber would be easier to recognize-but her work impressed him and gave him a good enough challenge to be interested in whatever was important enough for her to be guarding. He was mildly disappointed when he traced the message back to a basic-lock entry introducing the idea full of concerned whining from Kirk and others about bodies. Ethics. They were none of Dustin’s concern ( ... )

Motoko was quite prompt, but as usual, not eager to approach a group overtly. For one thing, that would mean they would expect her to make small talk, and for another it made surprising idiots like Dustin so much easier.

He hand fell onto his shoulder with a heavy vice-grip- the one his prosthesis was mounted to, just to be certain of her advantage. Almost idly she pressed just a fraction of her weight into it, to emphasize exactly how nowhere he would be going. Words were not necessary; he was a smart boy, he knew when he was in trouble.

Indigo's head swivels at the unfamiliar voice, and her face goes from 'politely blank' to 'curious, but annoyed'. You are here, Dustin.

In a part of the ship where no one walks often.

The location of which was only talked about in secure posts on the comm.

She's walking towards Dustin and Motoko, irritation clear on her face. Best start explaining.

Shoulder. Lots of weight. Crippled shoulder, hand pressing into misshapen bone, pain shooting through his arm and neck and torso-

“Good to see you Major,” Dustin almost squeaked, holding his breath. She was right-perhaps she would also know that the boy would hold onto his pride until someone drilled a hole through his brain and overinflated ego. Even if said event was obviously impended and entirely dependant on his reaction.

Though there was someone else. Obviously not human, not that Dustin could tell-either that or she was some advanced form of human. By the mere fact that she was keeping level with Motoko, he already assumed that she was in charge here. But no need to acknowledge her now, right?

“How’re the cables? Dry?” he continued to ramble, squaring his jaw and biting his lip. Damn, this was uncomfortable.

The chief of the science department had arrived to oversee the mission, and because he was currently trying to make himself as conspicuously useful as he could in case his job ended up in danger.

Luis was busily making notes on his omnicom and watching the preparations get underway, seemingly lost in his own little world.

"Doctor Sera."

Grace's voice sounds a bit hollow and electronic, filtered through the speakers of her space-suit, but it's friendly. Luis is a colleague, after all. It's a bit bulky, but she's finding it easy enough to move around in so far. Her omnicomm is clipped to her waist by a short lanyard and her sample kit has been strapped securely at her waist. She's ready for this.

"Good to see you out of the lab."

"Gracias, amiga, I am glad to get out and be useful for once," he said brightly.

Then he looked at Grace's outfit for a few minutes and made a face.

"Am I, er... underdressed?"

Grace sighs, "You might be. We're going into an area that's been exposed to the vacuum of space. Now, I'd rather be in a suit just in case the containment fails and we suddenly find that all of our oxygen just got vented."

She gives him a slightly amused look, "Wouldn't you?"

Carol had gotten the summons from Leon. She was doing what she was told, even though she was weary of this. Something about the whole thing didn't sit right with her, and it wasn't just the fact that she could survive out in space without any help.

She spotted the girl, Indigo she was sure, and dropped down by the Spacewalk's doors.

"Kennedy sent me to oversee this little project. So let's get started shall we?" She hoped that her normal Avenger luck didn't get in the way here. She didn't want to have to rescue anyone. Or get sucked into space. She really didn't want to go flying into space today.

Indigo raises an eyebrow at the arrival. This must have been one of the Security team Leon had sent down. She really needs to access the database, at least so she can match names to faces. And possibly abilities.

"We're just waiting on the final members of Security." Indigo states, giving Carol with a thoroughly unimpressed look. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Indigo."
