Thaddos was sick and tired of drifting around looking for the engineering area. Damn xeno machinations and their trickery. They were surely keeping away from the ailing machine spirits on purpose.

So he was overjoyed when it he finally found it. Only one problem. There was another human -Thank the Omnissiah, a human!- in the way. He stared at the human.

"Move." He might prod him with the mechadendrites if he didn't move.

There’s something to be said for Dustin’s abilities regarding self-control.

“Holy shit! You’re a robot!”

…Or the apparent lack thereof.

He is, after all, the classic nerdy fanboy, especially since he’d come so close so many times to creating machines with sentience himself. To finally create a device that could not only think for itself-considering that most computers could do that anyways, to some extent-but could make purely spontaneous decisions, could adapt to new environments, could possibly even contemplate emotions…Oh, this was just too perfect! If Dustin thought he would learn a lot just from scanning through Stacy’s mainframe while he fixed her-

Oh right, oh right, repairing the meatship. Good gracious, he’d almost forgotten about that. Aww, but the android“-Ah. Erm. Okay, I’ll admit that statement was blatantly obvious,” Dustin raised his hand in personal apology, the prosthetic one still comfortably supported in its makeshift sling for the time being, “But ah, are you sticking around? Can you just…stay in this general ( ... )

Thaddos stared. Him? A robot? He was not that blessed yet, and so he told Dustin that.

"Not fully machine, not yet. I will soon join the Omnissiah in full, however, if all goes as planned."

He squinted at him with his biological eye. The other one was just kind of... looking around. He was acting strangely. Did his sensors detect a hint of opiates in the air? No. It was just the ship. Another thing to blame on the xenos.

"The only reason for me to remain at the moment is because you are in my way."

The incredibly compassionate and not at all xenophobic Enginseer crossed his arms and glared. The bionic eye still wasn't focusing on Dustin. He needed to fix it.

Okay, that was…that was actually quite interesting. This guy was trying to be a robot? For what purpose? ‘Omnissiah’ made Dustin assume that the transformation was in some sort of religious context-this actually would explain a lot. Even he wasn’t that into becoming a machine, and frankly Dustin was already about halfway there. When your body is in a constant state of reliance upon mechanical augmentations, then you might as well be part robot.

Either way this was all incredibly intriguing and Dustin would have to dissect this fellow’s brain investigate further how long it took him to get to this stage, among other things; at the moment, however, he was on a mission.

“Look, we should talk later,” the scruffy man said in an unusually cheery fashion as he began heading into Engineering (both as a means of clearing the way for the transhuman and because he was going that way regardless), “But right now I’ve got something important on my schedule that honestly can’t wait. You understand, right?”

Dustin was taking mental notes. ”Task ( ... )
