"I'm not quite certain how to answer that, Captain," he admitted, "But given what I was told about the last one, I'd have to say that comparatively, my experience was almost pleasant."
His jaw slid slightly to the right as he stared at that inky backdrop, complete with pinpricks of light that seemed entirely familiar. And yet it wasn't. It wasn't even his universe.
He swallowed slightly, working up moisture in his mouth, as his throat seemed to have gone dry suddenly.
"You wished to speak with me in private."
