Marco walked up to the tree and stared at it. "Andalite tree, huh?" So that's why the tree was familiar - it looked like a lot of the plants he'd seen in the dome ship. He sent Tobias an incredulous look about the 'talking' part, though. "A talking tree? You sure Ax wasn't just messing with that bird-brain of yours?"

"What, the tree just wants to talk you about your feelings? Man, it's a shame Cassie's not here. She'd practically want to marry it." But despite the jokes, Marco still leaned forward and tentatively touched the tree.
