It took some running and some fighting, but they made it to the Vatican without losing anyone, or even any limbs. The Vatican itself seemed deserted, although it was unlikely that they'd take that at face value at this point. Taking refuge in St. Peter's Basilica after they'd safely reached the Vatican, Lyta--along with Leela--dragged Nathan over to an empty pew and lowered him down into it, guiding him to lay down. With him safely--for the moment--resting on the slender bench, she took a moment to wipe the sweat from her forehead and catch her breath.

"So what do we do now?" she asked no one in particular.

Something about Wednesday seems almost lost-in awe, though his eyes are blank and he sees nothing. "It's been alone for so long," he mutters, stumbling enough to fall to his knees. One hand traces across the floor.

Someone might want to shake him out of it.

"Try and get the wounded patched up first," Bri said in response to Lyta. "Sooner we can get everyone in good shape, the better. We can't afford to be slowed down. After that, I vote we go for some heavier weapons. There's no way we're gonna take these things out with the way we're outfitted now."

Kate had some minor injuries but she wasn't letting it affect her. She was too angry for starters.

"And we're getting our people back. Right? We're not leaving them behind."

She then headed over to Wednesday, and knelt down by him. She even tried to lay a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, what's wrong?"
