The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Something about the old guy standing around the Obs Deck drew Atom towards him. He walked right up to Kotetsu, giving him a little wave and a smile.

"Hey, mister. Are you lost?"

"Oh, sure. Lost in space, away from my planet, away from my adorable darling little daughter..."

Kotetsu was absolutely whining. He glanced over at the little boy and made a face. "Oh no, are you separated from your parents too?"

Atom would have patted Kotetsu reassuringly on the shoulder, but he could only reach the man's arm. So have a reassuring arm pat, Kotetsu.

"Yeah, but it's okay. It happens all the time because of work and all. So your daughter's not here? How old is she?"
