The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

So the world he knew was gone.

Not only was he without Philip, but now everyone else was gone - Akiko, Terui, all of Fuuto--hell, all of Earth.

This area he'd been led to was full of strange people he didn't know. That was little consolation, especially after the awkward dressing in this...really weird suit. It wasn't his style at all. At least he had his hat - much as it didn't go with the suit.

For now, Shoutarou took up a spot against a wall, content to observe.

Through the crowd, Hoshi was holding out hope that maybe someone she knew was here, but so far, there wasn't anyone. Oh, well! She'd just have to keep on hoping for the best, then.

However, she paused and noticed Shoutarou, noticing him from the little demonstration that went on in the Sensoriums with Philip. She definitely had to tell Philip about this!

Whipping out the StagPhone, she made a quick call to him to come to the Observation Deck, then quickly hung it up, stashing it away.

"Hey, there!" she said in a cheery way, making her way over to Shoutarou. "I'm Hikari Hoshi, nice to meet you!" she added on, a grin on her face that went ear to ear.

Shoutarou was here.

He was awake.

Most importantly, he was HERE. And as such, he had made a beeline, taking the RideVendor to the tubes, up to Obs, into the press of crowds, and weaving his way towards where he figured he would be.

That hat.

"SHOTAROU!"

The girl's greeting brought a confused look. He was still dazed from trying to absorb the sheer gravity of what happened, so he missed her use of the phone.

He wasn't sure what to do, really, but in the back of his mind, something nagged at him to at least be nice and introduce himself - no sense in being rude to someone else if they had to go through this as well.

He starts to hold a hand out. "My name is--"

"SHOUTAROU!"

He's got all of half a second to look before he falls on the ground.

...Well, THAT was surprising! Hoshi took a nervous step back at the sound of Philip's voice, added by the pounce, before a warm chuckle eased those worries.

"Well, now!" she began, stifling her laughter for now. "You okay there?"

"You're awake you're awake, Shoutarou I missed you!" Philip spent all about five seconds hugging him tightly before suddenly recomposing himself and sitting up.

"Nice to see you again," said Philip with a smile.

"I..I..."

Shoutarou sat up, stunned again by the arrival - and existence - of Philip. His hat falls to the floor, but he doesn't notice - he's too busy staring slack-jawed at the other man.

"But...you're..." he pats himself down. "Am I dead, too?"

"Dead?" Hoshi questioned, looking quizzically at Shoutarou and Philip. Sure, seeing Philip absorbed in the Xtreme Memory was jarring, but she didn't really necessarily think of him as dead.

"Um, I... don't think so?"

Okay, consider her officially confused.

"Dead? No... no Shotarou, you're here, alive, and now awake on Stacy." Philip's expression fell. "You're from before we reunited, aren't you?"

He sighed. "This is going to take a lot of explaining."

A momentary turn to the blonde girl - who was this girl in relation to Philip, anyway? "But--"

Then Philip says 'reuniting', and Shoutarou turns back to him. "I... It's been close to a year since we stopped the Gaia Impact. I was on my way to buy cat food for Mick..."

Hoshi heard briefly about the Gaia Impact from when Philip and her sorted through the remains of the Sonozaki mansion, but anything other than that, she was left completely in the dark.

For now, though, she decided to silence her thoughts for now. "Would it be better to discuss it here or somewhere privately?"

"Oh so you're from about six hours before I returned," replied Philip thoughtfully. "That makes sense."

"We could take the lifts down to continue," said Philip, getting off Shotarou. "I remote-drove a second RideVendor here."

"Six hours..." Wait, if he's from before Philip's pull point, but just showed up now...then how does that work? Better to blame Decade not think about it.

Shoutarou stumbles up, gathering his hat as he looks at Philip again. "So...all this is real? I'm here, you're here--you're not dead anymore?"

Well, Shoutarou, if you wanted her to worry about Philip more than she was right now? You just did it.

She lost whatever thought she had in her mind, looking rather startled and at a loss for words.

Better not to think about it or blame either Decade or Ankh and Momo and Philip lead him towards the lifts. "It's been a long time for me," replied Philip. "There's been some things going on I'll have to explain."

"Ah, right, okay..."

Shoutarou follows - still rather disoriented from everything that's gone on and been dropped on him. He doesn't mean to cause worry, but as far as he's known, Philip's been dead for a year. It's kind of tricky to just change a way of thinking, even when the evidence is right in front of your face.

"What about Akiko? Terui? Jinno and Makki? Are any of them here?" Or by chance the Chief?
