Re: Of course. Now time to hide heroically behind a boulder.makeherblueJune 2 2011, 04:37:07 UTC
He hunkered down behind that boulder next to Daniel, keeping his head down as the shots rang over their heads.
"Reda? Brilliant plan, Jackson, let's get ourselves shot since death by fire wasn't your first choice!"
The Doctor shot Daniel a scathing look, one that quickly softened as he took stock of that expression on the human's face. Still thinking about that dead guard? The Doctor would, if he was in Daniel's place. But he wasn't quite, and that meant his mind was racing off in several directions all at once, turning escape plans over, absently noting Daniel's glasses were terribly lop-sided, and given the amount of guards, the chances of getting shot and then thrown into the pit were rather high. If they wanted to get to Reda, they'd have to find another way around, see if she fled and then get her by herself

Holding his arm, the archaeologist looked sharply at the Doctor. Maybe they were being shot at, and Daniel didn't expect anyone to keep their manners, but getting pissy about a plan of action wasn't helping anyone. And it wasn't like he wanted to nearly get his throat slit. Almost falling into the fire pit wasn't exactly a walk in the park either.
Daniel didn't back up in the face of the Doctor's exasperation. He ignored the Doctor's sarcasm, and just like before, stubbornly stood his ground. "If we can get to Reda, the fight is over. They'll either stop the moment she does with the ritual or stop because they aren't willing to risk harming their religious figure. Either by friendly fire or by us. They don't know we won't actually harm her, only that they think we might
