I hope that Spike isn't a betrayer. All clues point to Angel. That said, I don't want Angel to be a betrayer neither.

I think it has to be Angel too - doesn't it? ...or Xander... Or Dawn... Or Giles... or Faith... I keep changing my mind! Must stop thinking about it.

I love it too. I honestly don't understand the fuss over Spike insulting Buffy. People, Spike has said WAY worse things to her before, in way more unjustified situations. Somehow I don't see Buffy holding this one against him.

Tricky; if I was cynical I would think that it has been deliberately written this way so that one particular shipping camp can see it as a natural consequence of Buffy and Angel’s never-ceasing affection for one another while the other camp can dismiss it as nothing more than the alcohol effect. Lucky I’m not cynical then ;)

I think the Dark Place lines are now some of my favourite Spuffy quotes ever :) and I cmpletely agree that they can't be dismissed as unimportant. How rare it it to know what Buffy is actually thinking. It's gold!
