My friend Lauron had posted this editorial from Indianz.com about the recent banning of the University of Illinois mascot. A good and short read, especially for those that don't know anything about how the protests started. I would also recommend tracking down a documentary called "In Whose Honor", which is about the movement to remove racist

the headlines in chicago (yes, it was the cover story!) read "Fans bid tearful farewell to chief illiniwek" ... inside it had all kinds of stories about the crackers crying their eyes out about losing their racist piece of americana...

the conversations about this in my journalism classes were far worse and very racist things were said...
