“This is boring,” Michelle said, throwing her chips onto the table.
“You’re just pissed ‘cuz you’re losing,” Katee smiled, taking the time to roll the tip of her cigar over her tongue before sliding it into her mouth. Michelle found it distracting. She could think of better places Katee’s lips could be.
Michelle tilted her head, flashing her best half-smile. “Maybe the stakes are too low.”
Katee lowered her cards, blowing out the smoke in blue-white circles, her eyes going dark and hooded. “What’d you have in mind?”
