max/msp/jitter is fantastic! i was quite obsessed with it a few years ago. it is a very elegant programming environment.
i was thinking of getting back into it given my hobby interest in music (and being i am more of a computer geek than musical) hey, we could trade patches =) and i just yesterday upgraded my jitter license ===D
its ... just... so... much....! I know that the first month or so of it will be the biggest hurdle, im eager to get to the fantastic part ;) so i dont have any patches of my own to send you yet! but someday! meanwhile, i'm using max for everything but sound at the moment... the *plan* is to become skilled enough by the end of this to be able to use it fluidly for whatever i want.
basically i want to make a patch that will make me my toast and coffee in the morning. loadbang---->breakfastinbed.
nothing really. it was all just playing around. i never used it for music either. and before jitter came along and made everything so complicated (and technical) there was nato+0.55 and that was much more fun. so i used to make all kinds of weird stuff. i made the webcam i use (when i use a webcam) i upgraded jitter in hopes i could finish it and release it into the wild. i really like the ability to interface with text to speech too. the only thing i released formally was kiss.lipstick but its MacOS9 only.
