Wow, you wrote a whole story, and it sounded really professional! I don't know what Criminal Minds is (a TV show I'm assuming), so I thought it was an entirely fictional story, not fanfic! LOL! It was SO well written. You've really improved since I've last read your work. I wasn't sure exactly what I was reading at first - I figured it must be something you'd actually written but it read so smoothly, I wouldn't have been surprised if it was from something else! I'm glad you were inspired enough to write something so long and detailed! Wahoo!! Really interesting motive Gary had, too.

Wow, thanks!! Haha, I didn't expect you to read it, but thank you so much for all the compliments! Yes, Criminal Minds is a TV show on the CBS network; it also comes on in sindication on A&E and the ION channel.

I really, really appreciate all the praise and compliments, seriously. This is the first time I've delved into this fandom this way and was really worried about how it would turn out. But basically all the episodes read like this one, except of course they're not all the same case. They're the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI located in Quantico, Virginia. They study criminal behavior and come up with a profile based on how the UnSub (Unknown Subject) committed their crimes, the duration, etc. It's all about figuring out the criminal and why they did it. I love it something fierce, and as you can tell I have a crush on the Dr. Reid character.

I don't know if you really get into these kinds of dramas, but if you liked this you might like the show! :)

I'm not normally into cop/FBI/criminal shows, but what I ended up understanding by seeing a few episodes of random things is that sometimes people like these shows, and courtroom dramas, and medical shows, because they take a *psychological* angle, which makes things *much* more interesting. And that certainly seems to be the case with this.

Definitely so. They go state to state catching serial killers and rapists, etc, just by being able to put together a profile of the person. I remember one profile in particular is The Avenger, which is what Gary Schaffer in my story was. They think they're doing a public service and are therefor in their own mind some kind of hero. CSI examines the crime itself and the bodies. It's a great show, but I love how Criminal Minds gets inside the criminal's head and figures out what makes them tick as opposed to finding bullet casings and fingerprints.
