Terminator Salvation     HD480p 48MB   HD720p 118MB   HD1080p 171MB
Another full trailer for the reboot of the Terminator franchise. Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale) is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind. Also part of the cast are Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Helena Bonham Carter and Moon Bloodgood. Directed by McG (Charlie's Angels, We Are Marshall).

Paris 36 - Faubourg 36     HD480p 47MB   HD720p 117MB
Period movie that takes place in a working-class district in the north of Paris in 1936. It's about the Chansonia, a music hall that has been closed down and whose former workers are now trying to reopen it. It's a bit like the French version of Mrs Henderson Presents. Directed by Christophe Barratier (Les Choristes).
The movie doesn't really use its historical background and is mainly entertaining and somewhat sappy. But it has a wonderful production design and costumes, and if you like French chansons then have a look. It's also fun to spot Pierre Richard.

Harvard Beats Yale 29-29     HD480p 28MB   HD720p 102MB
This documentary with the great title has already been in (very) limited release for a while now in the US but only now a hi-def trailer has surfaced on the Apple site. It tells the story of the dramatic college football game between Harvard and Yale in 1968, when the Vietnam war has been raging and Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy have been assassinated. Besides the sports drama and the political background there are also a few popular names involved. A member of the Harvard team is Al Gore's former roommate Tommy Lee Jones, a Yale player at one point dated Meryl Streep and another player has been immortalised as part of the Doonesbury comic strip.
I pretty much don't care about American football but an entertaining sports drama is usually independent from the underlying sport itself so I wouldn't mind watching it one day on TV. It also seems to be my kind of doc with lots of people telling a story without fancy re-enactments.

Hunger     .wmv 12MB
US trailer version that's similar though still a bit different from the UK version. Controversial directorial debut of UK video artist Steve McQueen. It chronicles the last six weeks of the life of the hunger striker Bobby Sands (Michael Fassbender) who tried to get better conditions for Irish republican prisoners.
The UK trailer.
