Star Trek     HD480p 39MB   HD720p 87MB   HD1080p 159MB
Hi-def quicktime versions of the first full trailer for JJ Abrams attempt to re-launch the Star Trek franchise. It's about the early days of James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock, their first meeting at Starfleet Academy and first outer space mission. Written by the guys who also were responsible for the screenplays of Transformers and Mission: Impossible III.
It's difficult to keep track but here's an overview of the main cast members: James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy), Scotty (Simon Pegg), Leonard "Bones" McCoy (Karl Urban), Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Checkov (Anton Yelchin) and Sulu (John Cho). There will also be Eric Bana, Winona Ryder, Bruce Greenwood, Clifton Collins Jr., Jennifer Morrison and Tyler Perry.

Burn-E     58 MB
Who's Burn-E you ask? It's the repair robot that gets locked out in Wall-E when Wall-E and Eve return to the spaceship towards the end of the movie. And this is a seven minute short that tells the story what happens to him and that's part of the DVD release. If you haven't seen the movie yet then I should probably add that the short can be considered mildly spoilerish since it contains briefs scenes from the movie. And I count on you that everybody who downloads the file will eventually buy the DVD.

Afterwards     18 MB
Drama about a lawyer (Romain Duris) whose professional success led him to neglect his wife (Evangeline Lilly) and daughter. But there may be even more pressing problems. A childhood accident almost killed him. In fact, he may actually have been dead, if only for a moment. As an adult, he encounters the mysterious Doctor Kay (John Malkovich), who claims he can sense when someone is about to die. Acting as a "messenger", his job is to warn the doomed to put their lives in order before it is too late. Of course, Nathan does not believe any of this - until events shake his certainty. Score by Alexandre Desplat, cinematography by Pin Bing Lee who also worked on In the Mood for Love.
Available reviews from festivals are a bit mixed but given all the talent involved I'd say it's at least worth a look.

Twilight     Meyer/Stewart/Pattinson 50MB    Clip1   Clip2   Clip1   Clip4   Clip5
For the fans, a ten minute unscripted interview plus five additional excerpts with author Stephenie Meyer, and lead actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Let me repeat, for fans only, because frankly, it's all pretty bland. They are probably just very tired from all the press junkets, but to me, as a layman, it looks as if those three have zero chemistry.
