The International HD480p 41MB HD720p 94MBGripping thriller in which an Interpol Agent (Clive Owen) and a Manhattan Assistant District Attorney (Naomi Watts) are determined to bring to justice one of the world's most powerful banks. Uncovering myriad and reprehensible illegal activities, the two follow the money from Berlin to Milan to New York to Istanbul. Finding themselves in a high-stakes chase, their relentless tenacity puts their own lives at risk as their targets will stop at nothing to continue financing terror and war. Armin Mueller-Stahl, Ulrich Thomsen, Brian F. O'Byrne round up the international cast and I don't think Axel Milberg would've ever thought he would be featured in a trailer for a movie like this. Directed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run, Perfume, Heaven).
I'm thankful that not all trailers these days are for Oscar hopefuls or Christmas-related movies. But I think I would've preferred it if this one would take itself a little less seriously. One could almost get the impression it's directed by one of those humourless Germans. Still very much interested though.
Doubt HD480p 43MB HD720p 124MBDrama set in 1964 about a nun (Amy Adams) who finds herself in the middle of a tense confrontation in which a Bronx Catholic school principal (Meryl Streep) accuses a priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman) of abusing a black student. Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning play by John Patrick Shanley who also directed.
Very nice. Probably as intense as it gets when it comes to acting. I suspect Streep and Hoffman will wrestle each other at one point in the movie.
Four Christmases HD480p 52MB HD720p 123MBComedy about an upscale, happily unmarried couple (Vince Vaughn, Reese Witherspoon) that usually gleefully avoids spending Christmas with their families and goes on exotic vacations instead. But after their flight gets cancelled out of obligation and unable to escape they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopened and their very future together uncertain. Extensive cast includes Robert Duvall, Jon Favreau, Mary Steenburgen, Dwight Yoakam, Tim McGraw, Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Voight, Sissy Spacek and Carol Kane.
Despite the unavoidable puke joke (but so far no poo!) looks funnier than I would've thought. I wonder if Kristin Chenoweth's cleavage led to some discussion with the ratings board to still get a family-friendly rating.
Two Lovers 15 MB Clip1 Clip2 Romantic drama (I'd say melo) set in Brooklyn about a bachelor (Joaquin Phoenix) torn between the family friend (Vinessa Shaw) his parents wish he would marry and his beautiful but volatile new neighbor (Gwyneth Paltrow). Isabella Rossellini and Elias Koteas are also part of the cast. Directed by James Gray (We Own the Night, The Yards).
Movie screened in Cannes and the reviews were quite decent. And from what I've read, if you ever wanted to see Phoenix's attempt at breakdancing, this is your chance.
Changeling HD480p 45MB HD720p 103MBIntense drama that takes place in Los Angeles in 1928 where a woman (Angelina Jolie) is searching for her son. Months later, a boy claiming to be the nine-year-old is returned. Dazed by the swirl of cops, reporters and her conflicted emotions, she allows him to stay overnight. But in her heart, she knows he is not her son. As she pushes authorities to keep looking, she learns that in Prohibition-era L.A., women don't challenge the system and live to tell their story. Slandered as delusional and unfit, she finds an ally in activist Reverend Briegleb (John Malkovich).
Jeffrey Donovan, Colm Feore and Amy Ryan round up the cast. Directed by Clint Eastwood (Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers).
