Not to be a troll, but I was fascinated by the intensely strong feeling surrounding whether LARPers should attend events while pregnant on the female LARPer facebook group. I personally feel that it's pretty safe and it is a question that can only be answered by the woman who is pregnant and her OB. I was combat active in my 3rd trimester, but stopped participating in combat after dark since I felt the greatest risk involved my lack of balance at that point. I have also not seen any accelerant director require notification of such things though other LARPs ban women from participation as soon as they make it known that they are expecting.

Yeah, I remember that conversation. Am not sure exactly where I fall on it... on one hand, you and your doctor are certainly more familiar with your body and your limitations (or lack thereof). On the other hand, I've heard of (and personally seen) a few ridiculous incidents, one involving screaming because a pregnant woman was hit while backpacking someone on the line (in the dark), so I can sympathize with the people who don't want women participating in combat past a certain point in the pregnancy.
