More Ghetto Bento

Daemien said he couldn't eat everything today (so he ate it for dinner). I think once I get a proper bento, it'll better dictate portions.

Anyhow, our latest creation, not quite as creative, I pack what he says he wants (as long as it's not total junk food).

A referral is an actual report sent down to the office describing what the child has done and what he did in the past to warrent the referral. It goes in his record folder. Believe me, I've written a ton of them. That seems kinda harsh for a kid in kindergarten so I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

WEA is a very academic focused school and they really have zero tolerance for breaking rules.

I've talked with a few of the older kids this morning when we were waiting for the classrooms to open and they really like the school a lot more than public. I asked them about the rules and uniforms and they said it wasn't a big deal because the teachers were much nicer here and so were the kids, so there's not as many issues. As to the uniforms, some of the girls showed me how they expressed their individuality without breaking dress code.

It seems on a whole that the kids really like going to this school. They don't sound like they dread it or anything. One mentioned that it was cool because they go on a lot (like bi-monthly) field trips and they get to do karate and work in the greenhouse...and every classroom has a pet of some sort. It's a really interesting school.
