Of course! What a brilliant plan this is! Why haven't I thought of this before? All we really need is everyone's cooperation for this plan to work.

[She shakes her head, as eager as she can be about a thing like this, and explains as carefully as she would to a little kid like Marlene.] No-no-no, you're not listening. Look, um...two people die, right? The one the traitor voted for, and the majority vote.

So we don't need everybody to cooperate, as long as there's a good chance that the traitor cooperated, and then it doesn't matter who gets the majority. We're still gonna know that one of the names before the...the ones who got voted for, is the traitor. And the traitor's probably an okay person, because they're not voting, so hopefully they'll do it.

Oh, good. [Yuffie is immensely relieved that somebody besides her thinks this is okay. Sometimes her plans, um, sound way better in her head.]

[She frowns a little, though. The lady doesn't look totally happy.] You okay?

[Rose leans in close and speaks softly into the girl's ear.] I'm just... kind of worried about you. I heard the last person who tried to figure something out had been turned to ice... I don't want anyone to get any ideas.

[Yuffie wilts a little, and whispers back.] Yeah, I know, but...d'you know how many of my friends are, are already--

[She swallows hard. The word isn't coming just now, so she moves on.] And I had this idea, and I had to say something, 'cause if anything happens to Heath or, or anybody, I think I'm just gonna end up frothing in a wheelchair like Cloud.

[Yuffie blinks, dismayed at Mikuru's obvious unhappiness.] Hey, whoa, don't get all guilty so soon, okay? I mean, yeah, there's a chance and that's kinda the point and we have to be ready for that, but...

[She scratches the back of her neck, uneasily.] The longer we put this off, the bigger that chance is gonna get, you know?

And then a person dies, and the name before it on the list is implicated, sending us all on a wild goose chase. The traitor likely knows their identity. Why would they come out now? Why would they not vote for the person above them on the list, or somewhere else entirely? Your plan is riddled with holes... and it's far too easy, with this plan, to shove blame onto an innocent.

You place far too much faith in others.

[Yuffie plants her hands on her hips, pokes her little nose into Boa's face, and fires right back.] No, they don't know who they are, because look at who's dying! Can you find a pattern? Older people, younger people, humans, nonhumans, none of them knew each other...

It's the House picking! Which means this person is randomizing and they've always been randomizing and you know what? I was doing that too, because it's scary and I didn't want to hurt anybody and I'll bet you the traitor is in the same place I was!

[Her voice is getting louder and louder--this woman can't ruin this, she can't lose more friends!] You keep saying we have to play to win! Where's your better plan, huh? Up your nose?

And who says they're not intentionally picking to make their choices seem random? Everyone has to follow a pattern? You assume everyone's like you and doesn't vote, but you're wrong, little girl. Some of us do. And have, and will.

[standing at her full height, six-feet-and-then-some, she then leans back till she's looking up, pointing dramatically]

I'll tell you right now that the traitor is one of those who voted for Legault back when he stepped up. Think back to those who did so, if your little brain is capable, and question them!

That is a better plan!

[Yuffie plants her hands on her hips.] Yeah, exactly, that was like the one time the traitor vote wasn't totally random! So when you give our traitor a plan, he or she follows it!

[Yuffie shakes her head, trying to smile for him.] Nah, 'cause what if Lloyd's the traitor? I can't put a plan like this out there and then hide behind you, Cabbage Patch. That'd be the worst kind of rotten.

Yeah, but that's not fair, 'cause if the traitor votes for somebody else they'd die. I know I'm a special snowflake and everything, but I'm not that special.
