Baking a Book

You know I love a baking and editing analogy.  Just love'em.  So I've been working on The Collector this week. The story involves a mysterious bakery, a mysterious bakery owner, and mysterious jars in the back of said bakery.  And all this cake talk has increased my CRAVING for cake. (Yes, my cravings can increase). Friday night I finally caved.

Thanks! I do believe the cake is in a better place than the book. Revising the cake recipe will be more fun (at least to my mouth).

I almost made it last night. I called my friend and said, "Friend, I need help. I have a VERY important question. Do not take it lightly." "Okay." "Should I make gingerbread or tinker with my white cake recipe and make it chocolate and make a nutella frosting?" "Uh, the white cake I LOVE? If you're wanting an unbiased answer, call someone else." "Nope, I'll take a biased answer." "Chocolate cake." It's good to have friends that will help you with the tough decisions in life. :)
