I LOVE LANGUAGE FAIL

It's a great joy when communicating with other cultures. Until it leads to horrible misunderstandings...

But the cows/chaos (I can totes hear it with the Portuguese accent) is fantastic. FANTASTIC.

Haha yeah, and I'm sure I've said some pretty awful stuff in Portuguese too!

Bwahahahaha! I died laughing at these! My mother's from Japan and I have experienced hilarity from listening to her and some of my family members!

After trying to figure out what they are trying to say, it's like a light bulb going off to, "oh! I get it!!!" Even on TV, it's a hoot!

But on the other hand...I have had those moments as well when I am talking Japanese and say things wrong and have them laugh! :)

Happy New Year and enjoy your travels!!! ^_^

OMG. I am dying. Tracy - good for you for following your muse overseas and leading this wildly insane life. LOL forever. I love it. I'm reading this as I'm watching an episode of Amazing Race with all it's language fail and I'm just - sometimes the world is such a fun crazy place.

I once wrote this whole scene in a play with goats and now - I am totally writing a scene with cows.

i had a teacher in high school who pronounced chaos the same way, except with a more distinct "tch" sound. XD it wasn't adorable like your friend in this though!
