As my birthday is approaching, I took some time off from work and arranged to hit the road. By lucky coincidence and schedule-wrangling on her part, D was able to come along, and I think maybe she needed the vacation more than me.

Sounds like a fun trip - I've enjoyed Tybee trips a great deal!

I stopped off on Tybee for a few hours when I drove down to Key West last year, and have had a return trip on my mind since then. Would have liked better weather, but I can deal, and the island and environs are lovely.
