thanks for the advice on the books. i never even thought that i might not use all the books. i was ready to buy them all! all of the seem to cost between fifty and a hundred fifty, so any money i can save there would be great.

hopefully my roommate won't be too much of a problem. the lj friend i had from his city actually said he's gay too! that's one thing less to worry about.
