elena23 has kindly reminded me that I haven't yet updated you about Ian's dental work. He got a quote from a second dentist who is inside Ian's insurance network. Also, yay, lower dental bills! I may go looking for that myself with a recent $8K pitch from my dentist.
That cost savings logging of yours rocks, too - good item for future resumes. How are you evaluating the cost savings?
Also also, since I keep thinking "I should mention it to Trace..." but keep forgetting...have you read The Happiness Project yet? If not, I suspect you'd love it. It's a person evolving her life in ways similar to yours although even more methodically, and her totally non-preachy way of sharing that concept with the world. It's the first book in a long time I've wanted to run out and buy for people.

Thanks for the stay interview questions...the intriguing thing to me is that by the very nature of the questions, if the manager can't easily both ask them AND hear the answers, they're not likely to be in the kind of role that would use 'em. In a perfect world, ALL managers could ask these kinds of questions and ALL employees would feel honest answering them...
