Ian and I watched "The Shining" on Netflix the other night. He'd never seen it, can you believe that? (He has read the book, however.) The book was inspired by a hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, which I'm told is not a long drive from us. Here in NH, we currently have snow drifting from about 2 and a half feet to 4 or so, to up to about 9 ft in the plowdrifts from parking lots and such. Last night we had freezing rain and sleet, and then more snow so it's a freakin ice-skimmed, snow-piled Winter Wonderland. Today, we have melting and drippage.
