(In all seriousness, I hope someday to be able to flop my arms and grin. I'm working toward it, but as of this moment taking things too personally is one of my greatest challenges.)

I think Jason's post was what we needed. However, I think yours is the icing to that cake. You've put that cheery image of Ted in my mind, and I think we could all strive a little bit more towards our "Tedness."

I was raised by two bona fide crazy people as well as one bipolar sister... I know exactly what you speak of when you recant the tales of self questioning, "Is it me?" I have blocked my sister's email address... i can never tell what sort of bomb will go off when I open one. My heart starts racing, my hand shake, my mouth gets dry and I find myself saying to myself, "Maybe if I explain it a little further she'll understand and thank me." because yet again I would take the blame for her issues. This is no more, it's not happening, forget it, my boxes are getting cleaned and I have the Exterminator 2005 coming with extra blow-your-Shtuff-outta-here power.

Don't wait till it accumulates, get rid of what's not yours now... there's much less pain that way.
