Awesome. :D

Hope Basil manages to land on his feet elsewhere. Judging by what Yaz was going through earlier, it's not a good economy to be searching for employment in. Or were you planning on having him vowing revenge with another team? :)

You never know where folks will turn up. It's a small Solar System after all!

Wunderbar. Now I have this image of a diminutive ferret shaking his fist at the stars screaming "I SHALL HAVE MY REVENNNNNNNGE!"

...then again, I imagine that if they're really facing real danger, I figure there ought to be some sort of hypnosquid Motivation Adjuster For Hire types out there. Which is an incredibly creepy thought and makes me think there is *no way* I would go unarmed in this modern world. Huzzah! :) (*shudder*)

I'm feeling connected to the characters and really caring about them. Keep writing!

Woo-hoo! That's actually one of the greatest compliments I can receive, because I'm all about the characters first and foremost. Thanks!

He never was the most popular of the teams, but Six Below's been a star team for some time, so he had his own share of fans, certainly. You're right to be one!

I have to admit that I'm also finding myself horribly, horribly tempted to get an Eklund pastiche related to this going, if only to see how many people would die laughing at "HOT HOT HOT Iromouairu hired by Element (E5)". ;)

Heck, I'd love to see more of the media coverage of this thing and how it works in This Modern World.

You know, the funny thing is that I've never been into sports and thus I've only seen a scant handful of sports-related media. I had to dig for some to make sure I was getting the tone correct. Becuase of your mention, I may reference a couple fannish website equivalents down the road.

Okay, I've been curious but quiet since I didn't want to seem like I was an idiot but:

What the heck is Bodyracing?

Yer lookin' at it, kid!

In a nutshell, "bodyracing" refers to small number of motorsports which involve small personally-worn motors instead of motorised craft. As shown, the Kinetikos circuit is all about wheel-projectors worn at the hands and calves, so the racer goes down flat to the track and steers with hand motions. There are a couple others, and as soon as my WordPress stuff is read (thanks, buni!) I'll have a page with glossary for quick reference.

I'm sorry, my interface seems to be broken because I simply cannot see what you're pointing at :) I think I need an upgrade.
