Cable workers test my patience

Well, it should say something that I chose my mood for this entry before actually writing the body itself.  I feel bad for Louise, who was kind enough to be home for the cable guy to come and make sure both my (Lazarus) and Michele's computers were hooked up to the internet properly.

First, she calls to ask where the router was, which was fine.

Good. :] It was a 'friends' sort of thing, but a coworker reminded me that the people involved lack an onlooker's perspective. I'll be sure to keep you updated on any further developments. ;D

Ugh. How annoying.

But I'm glad the coffeehouse worked out!

Fie to the Cable Guy.

I mean, honestly...was that his awkward way of hitting on you or something? Because there is just no other point in getting up your nose in that way.

Yea to the coffeehouse. (And there was much rejoicing. Yea.) I'm glad that worked out.

I watched more Python last night. I'd seen the ep (Scott of the Antartic) before, but that didn't keep me from laughing.

I felt most-horrible about Louise being stuck there with him.

Oh, and come to find out I've got some weird-0 error on Lazarus that won't let him connect to the internet, period. I suppose I'll be jumping on Shel's computer until I get a friend to sort this out. It has something to do with Windows...windsoc?...which Louise said she thought was something you flew outside by a flag.

Anyway, coffeehouse is a definite perk today. :D

An electric penguin, twenty feet high, with long green tentacles that sting people, and you can stab it in the wings and the blood can go spurting psssssshhhh in slow motion.

Most of Python still makes me laugh, save for most of the fourth season, which was just pretty much naff.

Poor Louise! Yes, I think a make-good might be in order.

Louise just cracked me up. But she does have a point...

So, Lazarus has a winsock error? Might I ask what type of O/S you're running? Is it Win2000, WinME, or WinXP?
