Not all that glitters
I think perhaps that they see the light reflecting from the broken pieces, and they are attracted to the sparkle. But as they get closer, they see that it isn't something shiny and sparkly, just a bunch of brokenness. And if they stay longer, they realize there is no sparkle unless the sun is shining, and the brokenness really isn't the beautiful ( Read more... )

Okay, I understand that. but I also know that some of us are broken in a way that repels others, or in a way that makes us inconsequential to anyone.
