*groan* Don't I know it! I should have learned my lesson after a work Xmas party when Max was just a toddler. But this time there was two of them! (And Mr TQD, who is God, because he let me have an extra hour's sleep in the morning, and two hours afternoon nap before he went to work. I returned the favour today!)

The sleep deprivation was mostly gone, and the hangover fully gone, by the time Rob & Feebz popped by for a coffee (and were greeted with the chaos of two small children; I think Max & Nell may have turned them off kids for life, although Rob was rather taken with Max's Thomas the Tank Engine set... They might be contemplating having kids just so they could play with all the toys... ;).

And I was human enough to make it out of the house for a friend's 40th last night. (Although I only lasted an hour before coming home. It was strange walking home as all my neighbours were heading out for their parties...)

I SOOO wanted to go to that wedding but my mother booked the weekend for her 60th birthday in downtown Tarago some time before the date for the wedding was announced, so am still somewhat miffed at missing out. But the groom has already emailed in from the honeymoon in Tasmania (geek) and has promised photos asap ( ... )

Apparently there was an email some months ago to say "keep this date free". Damned if I remember ever seeing it!

I believe the little funky red envelopes were for giving money to the happy couple. But I completely forgot to bring it, plus I'd already bought a present off the bridal registry, and giving money isn't really part of our culture. It was a nice combo of two cultures.
