I've accepted some things for free from folk I've interviewed. I don't think it could get me fired, but I feel like I shouldn't do it because I risk biasing an article. But, like -- when I reviewed the Thai restaurant, the lady just brought me a Thai iced tea to drink while I interviewed her, and HOW COULD I TURN THAT DOWN? At first, I tried not drinking it, but she was like, "Drink, drink!" D:
And a politician I interviewed paid for me lunch, 'cause it was a lunch interview. I wasn't sure if that was Bad or not. I offered to pay for HER lunch, but she said she wasn't allowed to have that happen!
