half of my friends are republicans, and not the smart independent self-sufficient ayn rand kind, but the type that pretty much just hates everyone who is not them.

i can't just remove them though because then i'm suddenly just not friends with half the people i know and have to deal with on a daily basis.

they join those groups like 'i hate it when i wake up in the morning and obama is president' and so on. if you try to engage them in any sort of intelligent conversation it just descends into religious rhetoric about 'i will pray for you to find jesus'

idk i'm just venting
