my roommate said he'd be home from Chicago on Thursday, i assumed he meant some time during the day/night. So we locked and chained the door last night before bed. Apparently he meant he'd be home at 5 AM this morning. I didn't hear my phone going off at 5 AM, so he slept in his car (I don't understand why he didn't just call his friend who had also just come back from Chicago with him and go crash at his place). I woke up at 7:30 AM and he was knocking on the front door. I didn't really learn anything from this experience, but he probably learned that I don't answer my phone early in the morning.
I never checked the quality of my timing belt in my old car, and if I'd done that I might have been able to get it changed before it broke/ruined my car I learned to always check the timing belt (and I also learned how to check it)
