What are some things that don't directly involve you that make your heart sad?

For instance: It makes me incredibly sad when I see a dead animal on the side of the road.

Children being adopted and then dumped for whatever reason.

Injured/sick/dying kids. People in general too, but with kids it's extra upsetting. They didn't have a chance to really live yet and it's just horrible.

I'm 19 and the youngest employee at the retail store I work at. Most of my co-workers are in their mid-thirties and forties with degrees.

It makes me so sad for them that they are making the money I am.
