These bamboos are from the Bamboo Garden of Hakone. A large section of bamboo were closed off for bamboo development purposes. Hakone Gardens is a beautiful place; I hiked up the hill to enjoy this Japanese style beauty. More pictures to come.

Great pics though- I have yet to see live bamboo in person. Only a dream... lol you have a xanga?? Well, I hope you have time to read both of my updates ;)

-Also, how'd u get rid of that virus?? I remember getting the same virus right after I re-installed windows XP and got online. Windows XP and 2000 have that problem if you don't patch it. So I still use 98... ^_^ best windows EVER!

-There was a reason I got rid of Win98. I don't remember now... As for the virus, I downloaded this security update off of MS website, and it seemed to fix the problem.

I absolutely love bamboos. It reminds me of Vietnam when I look at the pictures taken by you.

You should update in livejournal more instead of xanga. ;)

I have a lot more pictures of bamboo but I didn't want to post too many. Maybe I'll create a website for pictures from those hiking trips.

I created Xanga and LJ about the same time, but did not write in Xanga until now. LJ is my home, I will stay with it. Maybe you should get a Xanga too so we can be Xanga friends. :)

I love photography too...but I have a cheap digital camera...it's the point and shoot kind so I can't do much. What kind do you have?

I checked out the pictures on your journal. If you used a cheap camera, you must be very talented to get photos like those! I use a Cannon Powershot S50. It takes pretty good picture. It's the best camera I've used (out of 8.)
