Honestly toxins, you forgot one of the most *wonderful* smells... that of freshly made, dark, oily coffee. You know, the kinds faintly redolent of stilton cheese and feet? The kind that has tons of tannins, is chocolaty and bitter, creamy like melted cheescake and lingers on the back of your palate. How could you miss THAT smell, being an academic???

You are right...I love the smell but I'm allergic to caffeine. But that makes sense for most people that know me and elicits the quote: "Thank God, we don't need to see toxins on caffeine"
