I got laid

Nov 06, 2010 11:07

Off. And it sucks. And even though I hated this job and some of the people, it was a job. Yes, a dead end job that offered no growth but a job nonetheless. And I lost it like the cliche that I am. I did the whole ugly face crying and swearing while my coworker walked me out of the building. Worst part is, my last day is not until December 6 so I  ( Read more... )

Everyone is getting laid off so your's wasn't because of all the "trashtalking/slacking/internet abuse you've done. That was just a perk of a lousy job that finally let u go. That was your small middle finger to them, u can still do the big finger (although I wouldn't suggest it - sorry, still responsible).

Thanks, dude. I'm way too passive aggressive to actually give them the finger. I'll just write shit about them on the internet... like how I always have.

Only you know what you are comfortable doing. That being said, I say pull the trigger and try living in San Fran. You don't have to be responsible for anything but your own life.

If it doesn't work out, you would at least have given it a shot and trying really is the best anyone can do.

I'm sorry you lost your job, but on the bright side you don't have to be pretend nice to anyone who isn't a higher up.

Thanks. It's a little trickier than that, the parentals need fundage. Asian thing, you know? How's Canada?

Yeah, I get the parents thing. Although, I still think that you should try to build a war chest. I mean your parents still have two other kids, right? And if we're gonna get really old school here, your bro should be the one who shoulders the responsibility of taking care of your parents.

I'm still in New York. I submitted my paperwork to Canadian Immigration a few months back, so everything is up to them now.

If you visit New York, you should text me. I've been unemployed for months and am totally free to hang out. That is when I'm not in Toronto visiting.

I might take you up on that. I haven't been to NY in forever and I have a new internerd friend I want to meet IRL.
