Silent dormitory rooms are lined with bodies--not dead, just sleeping. Throughout the tower it is pitch black and silent. At the base of the tower, countless shining eyes, watching.

23:45:00The tower hums to life. Lights blink on in one by one; only the dormitory rooms remain dark. A small army of blank-faced humanoids appear and spend ( Read more... )

[Lithuania bolts out of bed as soon as his body starts responding, looking around in a panic, still not entirely sure if he's awake or dreaming.]

What... Poland?

30 seconds of inactivity was too long for Castiel, and as soon as his vessel is able to move, he sits up, noting the change of environment and clothing.

Testing out his limbs to make sure nothing was harmed (not that he couldn't heal himself), he turns to the other person who woke before him.

"This is not Heaven, Earth or Hell."

Lithuania blinked at the man, a bit confused by his instant declaration.

"Ah, it's not Earth...?"

Where else could he be, if not on Earth? Space travel wasn't that advanced yet.

Canada pressed her hands to the glass, biting her lip as she strained to make out landmarks through the smog...Or is it clouds. How high up are they in this place? It seems like a tower or a skyscraper. Trapped in a tower, huh? Like the fairytale.

"Let down your hair?" She laughed a bit bitterly before she moved away from the glass. Seeing the world around was useless when it was all featureless.

America had stopped to check his chest before he started moving around, and so he's in proper clothing--including his bomber jacket, which made him feel a bit more confident even while he explored what he was sure would be a great set for a sci-fi horror flick. Spotting a woman--and then noting she felt like a nation--made him both more and less confident at once.

"Hey, is this your place?"

Canada however, is not. She feels a bit out of sorts without her layers of clothing to hide behind and nothing to hide her curl under, but she turns to face America with wariness. A nation hmn?

"No...And I assume it's not yours. I don't think we've met."

Although not comfortable in this building in the least, Estonia had failed to find anyone familiar and thus moved on to exploring on her own. This turned out to be both good and bad. Good: she found the library, which was surely going to explain some things to her. She refused to believe her home had been destroyed and that was simply the end of it. Bad: she found the library and wouldn't be going anywhere else for a very long while.

If anyone else happens to be around, she'll be that petite young woman with her hair pulled back and a look on her face like she's trying to read everything in here today.

And at one point, a shadow will fall on her and shortly after she will be pulled into a very firm hug.

Estonia glances up at the woman hugging her for only a moment before she drops the book she was reading onto the table she was leaning over and turns in Sweden's arms, hugging her back.

"Rootsi, there you are."

"Latvija? Lenkija? This--this really isn't funny!"

If Lithuania sounds more worried than usual--and he does--it's because he's on his way back up the tower. Only five floors, all of which he searched thoroughly except this one, which he'd glanced over and assumed no one would want to linger on. No sign of anyone from Poland-Lithuania, and his bias toward his partner and sister was becoming increasingly obvious.

He ignores the people in the infirmary who seem to be working there--at least after ascertaining that they're decidedly unhelpful in helping him--in favor of his search.

After finding those notes, locating her personal belongings in that trunk, and going for a walk about the tower, Chaplin is no closer to answers than she was before she'd woken up. All she's learned is that the people working in this tower are extremely unhelpful, and she's somehow had her collar replaced with one of a different model. A little more fashionable, at least.

It's on the second floor that she finally spies another person, one who looks just as lost as she is. "You there," she calls out. "Do you know anything about this place?"

Lithuania startles a bit, though as soon as he registers 'not part of Poland-Lithuania' he keeps searching, although while answering the woman.

"I'm afraid not, I've only just woken up and it's fairly obvious the note is a lie. But it seems there are a few others in the same situation. I don't suppose you've seen anyone called Poland or Latvia? Poland has hair about as long as me, but it's blond, and green eyes, and Latvia has long blond hair usually in pigtails, though it might be out now, but she always looks a bit nervous."

Being that it was a tower, Romano had been apparently 'kidnapped' along with several others, and they had places to sleep provided, the Italian nation assumed that there had to be food somewhere. It wasn't quite time for breakfast yet, but he was already hungry.

Luckily, the long trek down a few floors was a fruitful one.

Now in the cafeteria, there seemed to be an assortment of things...er...an assortment of oatmeals and cereals. What a bland breakfast. Whatever, he couldn't well starve could he?

Bowl of cereal acquired.

The catsuit was flattering, but Spain would rather wear something more comfortable than what was provided. After a successful attempt at redressing herself with the clothes in her trunk, she stepped out and headed down a few floors to explore.

Instinct somehow led her to where the other man was, and she tilted her head questioningly.

"Ah, hola, señor. I hope I'm not intruding."

Just as he was about to bring the spoon of cereal to his mouth, he heard the sweetest voice and looked up, placing the spoon back in the bowl. Lucky for him, for now.

Unfortunately, Romano hadn't discovered that there were things belonging to him in his trunk, as he'd fled the room before exploring it as he should have, so he was still in the... strange suit, and slightly embarrassed for it.

"Oh, ciao, no, you're not intruding, signora. I was just--" He sets the bowl aside, appetite lost for now. Couldn't eat in front of a woman who wasn't also eating. "..uh, exploring. Found this place."
