After a minute, she slowly makes her way over, looking up at him worriedly. "Hey, what happened to the other humans? Why are you trying to break that thing?"

"This place--this fucking place did something!"
He's yelling at the elevator even though he's responding to Applejack--and normally the sight of a talking pony would be of more note to him, except for what he'd seen today.
"They're down there, I know it--"
The next time his hand comes down on the elevator door it's not so loud, except for the crack as he breaks his own hand. They've taken his abilities away.
It doesn't stop him from using his other hand anyway.

"Ghrh, don't hurt y'self!"
Because she knew, strong human or not, that there isn't any way he could get anything done by breaking himself.

America tugs against the pony pulling him back, but without his nation abilities he's a regular human, and the struggle is more difficult than he's used to.
"I can't just sit here, I have to fix it!"

A whisper in his ear made him jump, he turned around looking. It had been happening all morning, a touch on his arm, a whisper in his ear, a figure just out of sight in the corner of his eye.
He shook his head, and approached the elevator. "Here let me try." He took a step back and delivered a spin kick that hurt his leg but left the elevator looking like nothing had happened. He didn't seem to be in any extra pain like the other man though. "It's bound to break eventually."

He pauses, but only to start yelling at the elevator again.
"Cowards! Come up here, you bastards!"
Reply
"I don't think... it's going to be easy to break." He tried a third kick and a shock vibrated through him throwing him clear of the door.

[She approaches him slowly, still a bit shaken from the return of the others]
Want some help?

Sure. On three?

Is it one, two, three or one, two, three, go? [she had to ask just in case, she doesn't want to get it wrong and miss the mark]

[America cracks his knuckles and takes a step back to get a better angle at the swing.]
One, two, three, go!
[He strikes hard, enough to break through most anything. It has to break the door, it has to, right?]

She frowns at America, though, knowing this won't help, and approaches, pulling on a pair of silver-plated gauntlets as she does. ]
... That alone won't open it.
[ If you get yourself shocked too much, it might not do any good for the people who've been hurt, America. 8(
SO STAND ASIDE, LET THE HYLIAN WITH HER POWER GAUNTLETS ON HAVE AT THIS BITCH. The gloves are off on now, Tower. So on.
Even though she gets a shock from it, Link ignores it. ATTEMPT TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THIS ELEVATOR #2 IS GO. ]

[America will let Link take her (well, America thinks his) chance at it, mostly because he's nursing multiple electric shocks and broken bones and needs a second to gather up more energy.]

Sigh. ]
... The evil will get their due.
[ COUNT ON IT, TOWER-RUNNING-EVIL GUYS. B( ALL THE HEROES DISLIKE YOU. Link has a sword waiting to gut these people... ]

[America slams his unbroken hand against the elevator door, not hard enough to break it but enough to hurt, even ignoring the shock (which he was kind of getting used to).]

It made sense, sort of.
