[Dean is just exiting the men's room when he almost bumps into Ren.]

Whoa, watch where you're goin' kid! [He starts on his way again, before turning on his heel, baffled expression on.] You're not thinking of going in there [pointing to the boy's bathroom,] are you?

[Because this kid is obviously female. Female and showing a little too much leg for whatever her age is.]

[Whatever joyful expression was just on her face disappears the instant Dean walks out of the room. She takes a step back, disregarding whatever he just said to her. She looks frightened and a little confused.]

...I don't know you.

[Wow he would almost assume she's a ghost with how pale she is.]

Yeah I know, stranger danger and all that crap. Don't worry, I'm a good guy.

You know that's a men's room, right?

[She repeats that to herself carefully. At the very least, it keeps her from running away. For added measure, she cautiously peeks at her cat. He's not running away either.]

What is a men's room?

[She halts and immediately turns to face the voice. Was it a ghost? A malicious thought? The girl looks almost human. All the happiness is gone from her expression.]

Who are you?

A girl, as are you, which means we must not venture into the boy's bathroom.

[She repeats that to herself quietly. Ren looks the girl over without saying much else to her and takes the opportunity to see what her cat thinks. Said cat doesn't care too much. He's off licking his fur in the corner.]

Why is there a room just for boys?

[Maybe Seto is in there.]

Oh no--um...you wouldn't want to go in there...I think.

[Ren isn't displaying the typical caution she does for people here. Is that an animal? She vaguely recalls seeing a creature like that in one of her books.]

[She nods shyly and hesitates] I don't have, if you don't want me to...

[When her cat walks over and sits by the pony, Ren smiles. It's easier to talk to her than people.]

I want you to. I don't understand neighs.

[Social graces be damned, Ven's more concerned about the fact that this girl is sopping wet.]

Are you OK? Do you need a blanket or something?

[His concern is met only with confusion. Ren watches him.]

Are you sure? I wouldn't want you to catch a cold or anything. [Cue sheepish chuckle.]

Oh, I'm Ventus. But you can call me Ven. What's your name?

[Before answering, Ren looks over to her cat. He doesn't run away or look perturbed by this kid in the slightest, so Ren looks back at him. She doesn't move any closer or any further away for now.]

It's okay. I'm only a little cold.

[At his name, she tilts her head.]

Ventus. Ven. That's a short name.

[Which is fine by her.]

My name is...Ren.

I believe that socially females are not supposed to enter there.

[Hello, why do you have horns growing out of your head? Ren curiously stares, but looks very tense as she takes a few steps back. It's obvious she's ready to run at a moment's notice.]

[Kanaya doesn't move, she sees that Ren is uneasy] Females have one room and males have another. Just as the rooms are separated by gender so are the bathrooms. I believe some people would be uncomfortable if the arrangements were different.

My name is Kanaya.

[Boys and girls are kept apart? Ren ponders that. It's strange to her. Does that apply to cats to? If so, she'll have to make sure to sneak her male cat in every night. As if making sure he understand, Ren says]

It's okay. We can sleep out here together.

[And then returns her attention back to her]
