Hate to tag-and-run, but I wanted to get in on this before I crashed. thisclinchesit July 22 2011, 07:03:23 UTC
Outside the room, Shoutarou wandered the hall, looking at the mess of notes he had, and realized something - he'd never followed up on checking on some of the people he had little info on. And some of those people were in the room right next to him.

Well, it's a bit too late to not count as a rude neighbor, but better late than never to make nice.

A light knock raps on the door, and he waits for a response.

That's fine sweetie! I'm crashing in a few anyway. apaisleygirl July 22 2011, 07:12:09 UTC
Amy froze at the sound of someone knocking. There didn't seem to be anyone else around and she was hesitant to answer. Turning to face the door, Amy looked around for a weapon but came up with nothing. "Who is it?" Amy asked, her voice barely above a whisper before clearing her throat. "Who's out there?" she asked, louder this time.

Okay I lied, one more tag. (That's what I always say, and then oh god when did 6AM happen.) thisclinchesit July 22 2011, 07:17:23 UTC
The answer was unexpected, but Shoutarou shrugs one shoulder, then leans on the doorframe. No harm in answering an innocent question, right?

His voice is a bit loud to make sure it goes through the door - "Just the local detective from next door, miss. Looking to get some information, if that's fine by you."

Haha I know what you mean. :p apaisleygirl July 22 2011, 07:24:16 UTC
Amy takes one step toward the door before stopping again. How did she know this wasn't some sort of giant trap? It certainly wouldn't be the first time. Licking her lower lip, Amy decided to risk it because she knew she couldn't stay in this room for the rest of her life. Moving the rest of the way to the door, Amy gripped the handle and turned it, stepping back once it was opened enough. "...Hello." Amy said, clearly confused.

"Amy!"

Oh God, she was alright. Amy was alright. As much as he said he didn't believe the whole "your world has been destroyed and you are the only survivor" bollocks, it was still so very reassuring to see Amelia Pond looking alive and well-ish.

Sad Amy is sad but yay Doctor! :-p apaisleygirl July 22 2011, 15:16:23 UTC
Amy turned in the direction she heard her name and found the Doctor standing there, much to her relief. At least she knew someone was alive. "Doctor." Amy choked out, tears already filling her eyes as she rushed over to him and embraced him tightly. She could feel a few tears sliding down her cheeks, causing her to bury her face into his shoulder. Not sure she could get any other words out at the moment without sobbing, Amy just stayed quiet.

The Doctor hugged her tightly.

"Oh, Amelia. Are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?" He kissed her forehead. Amy--Amelia shouldn't have to be upset like this. Shouldn't have to be here. Shouldn't be forced into this. The Doctor could only be grateful that he was there with her. Small mercies.

"Don't worry, Amelia, I've got this. I've got this. I promise I've got this."

Closing her eyes when she felt his lips against her forehead, she shook her head at his question. "I'm fi- I'm not hurt." Opening her eyes, Amy moved out of his embrace to look around, eyelashes stuck together by drying tears, she wiped her cheeks before looking back at the Doctor. "What is this place? Does that woman have something to do with this?" She asked bitterly, referring to the woman that had taken her child.
