Well, this was turning into a shitty day.
After having the "luxury" of waking up in a nice rundown motel room to a busted mattress and then receiving a call from Lidner (after how long?!) about how the brat was going to meet Kira face to face and show his face in the next couple days, she'd been franticly trying to devise a plan to weasel the exact date out.
Then she'd remembered it was Matt's birthday today and screw Near. She'd told Matt they'd go out drinking for his birthday and she needed to get wasted after the disaster the last week had been.
Now she found herself awake and naked in a weird place and here she was going through one of the weirdest forests she'd ever seen. Black glass above and below her and multi-colored trees with a bunch of unnatural things hanging off of them and people over these weird computer things claiming to be people she had seen die with her own two eyes.
Did she eat something tainted and get high?
Were those clothes hanging off of that tree?
Yes. Indeed it was, so she bounded over to it, jumped up to grab an oversized black shirt off it, and then undid her robe to fall to her fit while she pulled it over her head.
Anything was better than just a tiny little robe - anything.
