Yes, the ending was pretty self-defeating and very Shige, and very adorable :)
I must admit, Shige writes very interestingly. I really enjoy reading his essays.

Thanks for translation this essay! I'm always enjoy all Shige writting. He has very amazing writting skill. Shige always taught me something new that i don't know. The more I read, the more I love him.
