Becoming part of the solution, part 1.

I, like everyone else who plays the game, have opinions on NERO. And rather than just talk about my ideas for the game and how it could be improved I am going to make use of the livejournal forums to kick around ideas. I welcome all comments, concerns, and criticisms about these ideas ( Read more... )

The numbers more or less look fine to me. Depending on your own personal idea of what a rogue or templar is, you might have some issues with those numbers. There are two schools of thought about what a templar is supposed to be, and the "Scholar who can fight" school might prefer to scale up the costs just a tad to bring them in line with rogues.

And on the subject of rogues, a similar scaling of backstabs would most likely need to get put in place in at the same time. But that shouldn't be a big issue. If you can accept prof scaling, then backstab scaling is just an extension of the idea.

I've never really looked very hard at the numbers for scaling profs. I've seen a couple schemes posted on the National boards, and frankly, whatever gets chosen, I'm all for it. I agree with a lot of folks, swinging 20+ is just ruining the game. I like the scaling for templars/Rouges/Scholars. I kind of think I'd lean more twords either fighters/templars being on the same page, or having Fighters with scaling profs after say, +5.

The OTHER thing I consider "busted" that has to be fixed the same time as Fighter profs is "Healing Pools", there is just a RIDICULOUS amount of healing being put out there, and if fighters get scaled, i think healing pool needs to go away or be MUCH more limited.
