Last Chemo For Now

Last week I had my sixth -- in this series -- chemo infusion of Taxol.  It's my last chemotherapy treatment, as least for now.  I'll have a CT scan in a few weeks so my oncologist can see what's happening to my liver tumors ( Read more... )

and all those buggars are gone!

that's one of my favorite series
even the movie remakes

we used to have the radio play too.
I know when have the dvds.

I understand having enough of the real stuff
too damn scary
I avoid the news for days.

Thanks so much, faunhaert! I hope all the buggars are gone too. I'd like to re-read all of that Douglas Adams series, right from book number one. I also heard the radio series, which was hilarious!

Fjords are beautiful. Wasn't that something that Adams said?

when they end up on the planet- commisioned by the mice.
the duplicate earth created to discover the answer
they are shown it with the fellow in white robe- sarty bartfast(sp)
he won an award for his fjords. the new earth had tons of them.

Sounds like you weathered the chemo ok and haven't lost your strength. Good to hear you mom is back home. Keep up your strength exercises. My sister just got weaker and weaker. Don't think she is going to make it much longer. I think the last chemo did her in.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. Cancer and its treatment really varies from patient to patient. I do feel under the weather from my last chemo treatment. The worst of it lasts for about a week, so I have a few more days left of pain and shortness of breath. Then I'll start to feel "normal" again.
